I’ve definitely been a beneficiary of the move to ebooks that has occurred over the past five or six years. I love ebooks as an author, certainly, but also as a reader in the sense that I can carry so much with me wherever I go. Still, I do still enjoy reading a book in print, and I have made sure that all of my novels are available in print format as well (and audio too).
I just wanted to make sure all of you knew that my ebooks are all in the Matchbook program (except the ones released by publishers, over which I have no control), which allows anyone buying the print book to get the ebook as well for free. I appreciate that so many of you buy my books, and I don’t like the idea of charging twice for the same thing in a slightly different form. So, to the extent possible, I’ve made tried to give you the chance to get multiple formats for one price.
I don’t have control over such things with my audiobooks, but Audible is my publisher on most of these, and they generally offer buyers of the ebook to add the audio for another $1.99 (sometimes up to $4). When you consider all the extra production costs for audio, this is a pretty good deal.
I’d also like to remind you all that you can email me at anytime (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions or problems. For example, if I send out an email about a free book or a 99 cent deal, and you find it is not available in your country, just shoot me an email, and I’ll make sure you get it. You’re all important to me, so if you’re having trouble getting what you want, let me know and we’ll make it right!
Lastly, I wanted to say thank you to all of those who take the time to leave reviews. I know what a pain that is, and I want you all to know it is appreciated. It makes a huge difference. I never imagined when I published that first book that I would sell so many, or that I would have such an amazing group of fans. I’m blown away every day by the emails you all send. Thanks so much! I’ve got lots more stories to tell.
