I’m please to announce that The White Fleet, book 7 of the Blood on the Stars series, is now available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. To celebrate, books 1-5 are 99 cents, and book 6, Dauntless, is $2.99 (all reg. $4.99). If you haven’t read the series, or haven’t finished all six, check them out at the series page on Amazon. They’re all available on Kindle Unlimited, too.
The war is over, but the struggle continues.
Tyler Barron and his spacers have set out into the unknown, deep into the Badlands, seeking to discover the empire’s old tech and the secrets of its tortured history before Gaston Villieneuve and the resurgent Union can beat them to it.
The White Fleet is a vast force, powerful and crewed by the toughest veterans from the war. Barron and his people know the future of the Confederation, even its survival, depends on recovering the scientific secrets of the empire before the enemy can do the same.
Barron and his people push far beyond the Confederation’s borders, to space untraveled since the Cataclysm. They are seeking the past, its secrets, its knowledge…but they will find a present that they never expected, a new and terrible danger, one that threatens not only the White Fleet, but the Confederation itself…even the entire Rim.

Alex – I wish I had a more specific answer for you, but the best I can say right now is I do intend to do it at some point. I’ve got a lot on my plate right now, so we’ll just have to see when it happens. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the series. – Jay
Hi jay, loving this series, on book 4 now. I’m curious, are the crimson worlds series set in the same universe? Ie events earlier in time? Looking forward to completing this series and for book 8 🙂
William – Thanks for the kind words. To answer your question, maybe, but probably not. Blood on the Stars is set in the far future, so it is POSSIBLE. But, I also have some plans to continue Crimson Worlds a bit farther into the future, and most likely it will turn out that they are just different universes. Jay
Jay,
just wondering when the follow on series of books shall be released?
thanks
J
Jaime, not sure what you mean by follow on. The next Blood on the Stars book will be Black Dawn, and it should be out sometime in June. I have considered a spinoff series in the same universe, but I haven’t attached any firm dates to it yet. – Jay
Spin offs would be awesome. Have you thought about covering earth’s expansion into the systems? That and also the events of the great war would be awesome series’ in the universe. Find the odd bits of info we get about those really interesting.
Would really dig some books on Tyler Barons grandfather and his battles.
I have absolutely thought about that. There is a good chance you will see it. I’m not sure whether it would be a single book or a trilogy, but it’s something I’d like to do at some point. -Jay
Jay,
How many books do you plan on for the Blood of the Stars? Will “Black Dawn” complete the series, or can we look forward to more?
Bret- No, Black Dawn is definitely not the end. I almost stopped at 6, but then I came up with a new storyline I think can be good. Now, it will go ten at least, and maybe even twelve. – Jay
Just completed White Fleet, what is the time line for thenext books in the series
Charles, you should see Black Dawn very early summer, hopefully late June, if not the very beginning of July. Book 9, Invasion, should be out this fall, and I’m hoping to get #10, The Colossus, released by rearend. -Jay
Hi Jay,
Just discovered you as an author and started by binge reading all seven Bllod on the Stars books. I absolutely loved them and can’t wait for Black Dawn. Meanwhile, I’ve just bought all the Crimson World books to keep me going.
